Season Recap: AJ Greer

Entering his third professional season, forward A.J. Greer made the most of the 2018-19 campaign by posting new career-highs in goals (19), assists (25), points (44), penalty minutes (63) and plus-minus rating (+6). Greer’s numbers in each of those categories would rank second on the team and would be generated in just 54 AHL games. His work on specialty teams would be highlighted by his four power-play goals and one shorthanded tally.
The 22 year-old also notched his first NHL goal against the Winnipeg Jets on February 20th. A second-round pick of Colorado in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, Greer posted one goal and one assist in 15 total games with the Avalanche during the 2018-19 season. He would go on to make his first professional playoff appearance with the Eagles in the 2019 Calder Cup Playoffs and would respond with three points in four postseason contests.
