The Colorado Eagles will return home to kick off the final homestand of the season against the San Diego Gulls.
Goaltender Adam Werner is expected to start in net after a 7-5 win over the Ontario Reign on Sunday. Werner has played ten games this season for the Eagles and has a 5-4-1-1 record, a 2.70 goals-allowed-average and a 0.902 save percentage.
The Eagles currently have thirteen players called up by the Colorado Avalanche. This season there have been fifteen players from the Eagles who have played in at least one game with the Avalanche.
Tonight is the fourth of six meetings between the Eagles and Gulls this season. Colorado is 0-2-1-0 against San Diego this season and has an overall record of 10-5-1-0 since joining the AHL in 2018. The Eagles will wrap up the series against the Gulls on Saturday.
San Diego is coming off of a 4-1 win over the Bakersfield Condors on Saturday. This was their first win in three games after dropping the previous two games to the Ontario Reign and one game to the Tucson Roadrunners. The Gulls are currently sitting in third place in the Pacific Division with a record of 24-16-1-0.

Forwards Logan O’Connor, Liam O’Brien, T.J. Tynan, Sampo Ranta, Alex Newhook, Jayson Megna, and Kiefer Sherwood are recalled by the Avalanche along with defensemen Jacob MacDonald, Kyle Burroughs, Conor Timmins, Dan Renouf, Dennis Gilbert, and goaltender Hunter Miska.
Colorado - San Diego Connections
San Diego forward Andrew Aggozzino spent the 2018-19 season with the Eagles. Goaltender Lukas Dostal played with Eagles forward Martin Kaut during the IIHF World Junior Championship in 2018.
