Game Preview
The Colorado Eagles take on the Texas Stars tonight in the third game of a four-game series. Colorado goaltender Adam Werner and Texas netminder Colton Point each stopped 30 of the 31 shots they faced, but a pair of shootout goals for the Stars would give Texas a 2-1 shootout victory over the Eagles on Wednesday. Forward Kiefer Sherwood scored Colorado’s lone goal in the contest, as Colorado converted on the power play for a sixth-consecutive contest.
Tonight’s game is Eagles Fight Cancer Night. This special night is dedicated to honoring those cancer warriors past and present in our community. Though this season is different than any other, there are some great ways for Eagles fans to honor, experience and participate in this annual Eagles tradition. Recalled by the Colorado Avalanche: Logan O’Connor, Greg Pateryn, Jacob MacDonald, Kyle Burroughs, Keaton Middleton, Jayson Megna, Peyton Jones, Liam O’Brien.
The Avalanche signed forwards Alex Newhook and Sampo Ranta along with defenseman Nate Clurman to entry-level contracts earlier this week. Alex Newhook is awaiting immigration clearance and will not be available until it is cleared.
