Here is your monthly recap and a look into what lies ahead
Dec 1, 2022

Home has never felt so good! The Eagles started the month of November with some much needed home-ice advantage after finishing October with a 3-4 record and playing five of those games on the road. Colorado went 7-1 throughout the month of November, and played in front of a sold out crowd every game at the Budweiser Events Center.
After dropping the first game of the month against the Ontario Reign, Colorado stormed back for a 7-3 win the following night and followed that up with two more home wins against the Texas Stars to finish their first homestand taking 7 of a possible 8 points. The Eagles then went out on the road and lost a close one in overtime against San Jose, but once again bounced back the following afternoon in a 3-1 victory. After a 4-3 win against Bakersfield a few days later, the team saw themselves on a 6 game point streak and winners of five of their first seven games of the month.
Back at home once again, the Eagles took on the Coachella Valley Firebirds for the first time in franchise history, and after a 2-1 overtime win in game one, the Eagles followed up that performance with a come from behind win in game two, again in overtime 3-2. Colorado then swept the Iowa Wild in back-to-back games the following weekend, and finally finished the month of November off with a 3-1 win out in San Diego.
It was an impressive month for the Eagles as they have now won seven straight games, had at least one point in every game in November after dropping their first game of the month, and suddenly found themselves at the top of the Pacific Division and 4th overall in the league standings. This is all despite numerous injuries and call-ups to the parent club that saw multiple lineup changes, callups from the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL, and playing through injuries. Through the first two months of the season, Brad Hunt leads the Eagles in points (4g-13a), and Charles Hudon leads the team in goals with 8 on the season so far. The goaltending tandem of Justus Annunen and Jonas Johansson has also been stellar, with a combined total GAA of 2.30, and a combined 0.924 save percentage through two months.
Colorado kicks off the month of December on the road for three games, before returning home to the Budweiser Events Center for six straight games before the holiday break. The Eagles see a good opportunity to extend their lead in the Pacific Division and cement themselves as one of the best teams in the American Hockey League.
