Eagles Seek Long-Awaited Revenge Against Ontario
Mar 31, 2022
The Colorado Eagles will face off against the Ontario Reign for the first time since November 7 tonight in Ontario. The series will begin tonight at 8:00 pm MST at Toyota Arena.
The two teams have only met once this season, where the Eagles fell short 4-3 in Ontario.
In the teams’ only matchup of the season, Ontario took the lead early on, outscoring Colorado 4-1 after two periods of play. Ontario forward Jaret Anderson-Dolan netted two goals, including the game-winner. However, the Eagles fought for the comeback in the third, with defenseman Jordan Gross scoring two power-play goals. This effort was not enough, as the Reign took the game 4-3.
The Eagles clinched their spot in the Calder Cup Playoffs last night following their 2-1 win against the Stockton Heat.
Defenseman Bowen Byram will make his Eagles debut tonight following his reassignment by the Colorado Avalanche on a conditioning loan. Byram has notched five goals and eight assists in his 37 career games with the Avalanche.
