Eagles Host Henderson for Cowbell Night Match Up

The Eagles will host the Henderson Silver Knights for a pair of games at the Budweiser Events Center this weekend. It will be the first time the two teams have met since the league’s opening weekend, which saw Colorado fall in both matches.
The first tilt between the two teams this season was incredibly tight. The teams matched each other’s scoring in every period, leading to a shootout to determine the winner. The Eagles out-shot Henderson by double in that game, recording 51 shots on goal to Henderson’s 26. But Colorado only managed to get four of those pucks past Silver Knights netminder Logan Thompson. Two of those goals came on the power play, though the Eagles had seven man-advantage chances throughout the night. Colorado fought hard but fell in the shootout.
The next night saw a seemingly more one-sided game. Though Colorado again more than doubled Henderson’s shooting efforts, the Silver Knights dominated the scoring for the majority of the game. Henderson scored two goals in the first period, and three in the second period, leaving Colorado down 5-1 going into the final frame. The Eagles would attempt to come back with two power-play goals from Kiefer Sherwood and Alex Newhook, but still eventually fell 6-3.
Colorado will be looking for their first win against the Silver Knights this season.
Cowbell Night
Cowbell Night is proudly presented by Meadow Gold and Dairy Max & BUILT W/ Chocolate Milk. The First 2500 fans will receive a commemorative Meadow Gold, Built W/ Chocolate Milk cowbell. Bells will be available at the main entrance only, one bell, per person, per ticket.
Charity Bell Auction - bid on bells from all 19 years of Eagles hockey and a stick with all the bells in the RainDance Tap. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Weld Food Bank. Additionally, there are a limited number of bells from the 2020-21 season that will be available for purchase at Merchandise. A portion of the sale will go to the Weld County Food Bank.

Forwards Alex Newhook, Kiefer Sherwood, Jayson Megna, and Martin Kaut, are all currently recalled to the Avalanche.
Forward Ryan Wagner is set to return to the lineup after being out with a lower-body injury since October 18. Justin Barron will also return from injury after last playing at San Jose on October 29.
