Eagles Fight Cancer Recap
Jan 25, 2022
The Colorado Eagles and UCHealth teamed up to bring you Eagles Fight Cancer Night on Saturday, January 22nd. This special night was all about honoring cancer warriors, past and present, in our community. We're all here to fight alongside these brave cancer warriors and be there for them every step of the way!
We wore names of local Cancer Warriors on our helmets, and this year some of them were able to attend and watch the special game in person! It was so meaningful to each Cancer Warrior and to each player who had the honor of fighting for them during the game!
Cancer Warrior Brandi Aspinall and her family were honored as our Xfinity Fans of the Game and got to press the button to start the show.
Cancer Warrior Laura Bunch dropped the ceremonial first puck before the game.
We lit the Budweiser Events Center in lavender to let everyone outside the arena in on the message.
We honored our Cancer Warriors and all those who are or who have battled cancer with our traditional Black Out Moment.
We also raised money for the UCHealth Northern Colorado Foundation Oncology Patient Assistance Fund by donating a portion of our Eagles Fight Cancer merchandise proceeds and 100% of the proceeds from our Eagles Fight Cancer Jersey auction!
All of that, plus the Eagles secured their seventh-straight win!
Thank you to everyone who came out to be a part of this special night!
