Eagles Face Silver Knights in Weekday Set
Feb 15, 2022
The Colorado Eagles take on the Henderson Silver Knights in a pair of weekday games on February 15 and 16. Both games will be at 7:05 pm MST at the Budweiser Events Center.
The two teams have faced off six times already this season, with the Eagles winning just two of those meetings. Another two meetings went to the shoot-out, which Colorado lost both of, but grabbed a point each from.
The last time the two teams met, Colorado jumped out to a two-goal lead in the first period. Henderson would fight back and force the game into overtime and then a shoot-out, where Colorado couldn’t get a goal. In four rounds of the shoot-out, Gage Quinney would score the only goal and secure the win for Henderson.
Colorado would come back stronger the next night, shutting out the Silver Knights and securing a 4-0 win.
Jean-Luc Foudy would start the scoring at the 6:59 mark of the second period. Jayson Megna notched a goal at the beginning of the third period, followed by Nick Henry scoring his first of the season just one minute later. Henry would net a second goal at the ten-minute mark of the third period, bringing the Eagles’ tally to four.
Justus Annunen stopped all 13 shots the Silver Knights managed against him, securing his second shutout win of the season.
