DU Defenseman Kyle Mayhew Signed to AHL Two-Way

WINDSOR, CO. – The Colorado Eagles, proud AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, have announced that the team has signed defenseman Kyle Mayhew to an AHL two-way contract beginning with the 2023-24 season. In addition, the 25-year-old has signed a Professional Tryout Agreement with the Eagles for the 2022-23 campaign and is expected to join the team later this week.
A 5-foot-8, 165-pound blueliner, Mayhew has spent the past five seasons at the University of Denver, posting six goals, 29 assists and playing at a combined +51 in his time with the Pioneers. He also helped Denver capture the 2022 NCAA Championship and served as an alternate captain during the 2022-23 season.
Before making the jump to the collegiate game, the Anaheim Hills, California native spent parts of three seasons in the NAHL, collecting eight goals and 43 assists in 94 games with the Aberdeen Wings and Fairbanks Ice Dogs.
The Eagles will be back in action when they travel to take on the Ontario Reign on Wednesday, March 29th at 8:00pm MT at Toyota Arena in Ontario Reign.
