Avalanche Signs Blidh

DENVER – The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today that the organization has signed forward Anton Blidh to a one-year contract for the 2022-23 season.
Blidh, 27, played a career-high 32 games for the Boston Bruins this past season, recording nine points (2g/7a) to reach career bests in goals, assists and points. Selected by Boston in the sixth round (180th overall) of the 2013 NHL Draft, Blidh (pronounced BLIHD) has tallied 12 points (4g/8a) in 70 career NHL contests, all with the Bruins.
The 6-foot-1, 197-pound left wing has also skated in 278 career American Hockey League outings with Boston’s AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins, totaling 88 points (46g/42a). He’s produced five points (4g/1a) in 25 Calder Cup Playoff contests.
The Molnlycke, Sweden, native played for the Frolunda organization in his home country before heading to North America. He registered 10 points (5g/5a) in 72 career games for Frolunda in the Swedish Hockey League and collected 54 points (29g/25a) in 71 contests for the club’s junior team in the J20 SuperElit.
