Agozzino Receives Call Up to NHL, Dries and Toninato Return

WINDSOR, CO. – The Colorado Eagles, proud AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, have announced that forward Andrew Agozzino has been called up by the team’s NHL affiliate, while forwards Sheldon Dries and Dominic Toninato have been reassigned to the Eagles by the Avalanche. In addition, forward Caleb Herbert has been reassigned to the ECHL’s Utah Grizzlies.
Agozzino currently leads the Eagles in goals (22), assists (28) and points (50), while his 50 points currently rank fourth among all American Hockey League skaters. The 28 year-old has already appeared in 10 NHL games with Colorado during the 2014-15 and 2015-16 campaigns.
Toninato scored his first NHL goal in the Avalanche’s 4-1 win at Winnipeg last Thursday and returns to the AHL where he has six goals and nine assists in 37 games with the Eagles. Dries has notched three goals and three assists in 35 NHL games with Colorado this season and has generated one goal and three assists in 12 contests with the Eagles. Herbert returns to Utah after posting one goal in 10 AHL games with Colorado.
The Eagles return to action when they continue their three-game road trip against the Stockton Heat at Stockton Arena on Sunday, February 17th at 6:00pm MT.
