2021 Hockey Week Across America

Hockey Week Across America begins Monday, Feb. 15, and runs through Sunday, Feb. 21. The week-long celebration includes a special theme for each day, including the fan-favorite Wear Your Favorite Hockey Jersey Day on Friday (Feb. 19), to highlight and salute all areas of the sport. 

On Feb. 20, as part of Try Hockey Day, USA Hockey will stage its second national Try Hockey for Free Day, presented by SportsEngine, of the season, providing kids who have never had a chance to try the sport to do so without cost. Families can find a location hosting a Try Hockey for Free event near them by visiting the re-designed TryHockeyForFree.com.

Started in 2008 by USA Hockey, Hockey Week Across America is an effort to celebrate the game and those involved at all levels, while introducing the sport to new audiences.

USA Hockey collaborates annually with American-based NHL clubs to host the "Meet the NHL Officials" program as part of Hockey Week Across America. In light of the pandemic, this year, USA Hockey will host two Zoom meetings during Hockey Week Across America: one with previous participants in the program, and one including a live Q&A session with two NHL officials. To date, USA hockey has introduced more than 216,950 children to the sport through its national Try Hockey for Free days.
