Eagles Bringing Two Goalie Prospects to Camp

Kelowna's Adam Brown & UND's Aaron Dell Looking to Start Pro Careers
LOVELAND, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles of the ECHL, affiliate of the NHL's Winnipeg Jets & the AHL's St. John's IceCaps, announced today the signing of two amateur goaltenders, Adam Brown & Aaron Dell. Both will help form the stable of goaltenders at the Eagles' upcoming training camp.
Brown is coming off a four-year, standout career with the Kelowna Rockets of Canada's Western Hockey League. His time with the Rockets started off on a high note in 2008-09 when he was named to the league's All-Rookie Team as a member of the eventual WHL championship squad. Following last season, he leaves Kelowna owning most of the club's all-time records with a cumulative record of 107-69-12, a goals-against average of 2.78 & a save percentage of .906. The young netminder is so highly thought of that he's already earned an invitation to the St. John's IceCaps preseason camp. His father is Newell Brown, a longtime head and assistant coach at the NCAA, AHL & NHL levels.
Dell also brings his own impressive resume to Colorado, leaving the University of North Dakota to turn pro after just three seasons -- only two as a starter. In 78 games with the Fighting Sioux, he compiled a record of 49-20-5, with a GAA of 2.15 & a SV% of .912. His outstanding 2010-11 season (in which Jake Marto played in front of him) set or nearly set several school records, as he led the nation in wins (30), GAA (1.79) & tied for first with six shutouts, while also being named to the All-Star team & earning the WCHA's top goaltending honors. Dell was also named an All-Star in 2009 (AJHL) and earned the 2011-12 WCHA tournament MVP award.
