WINDSOR, CO. – The Colorado Eagles, proud affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, have announced that defenseman Michael Sdao has returned to the Eagles after being called up to the Iowa Wild of the AHL. The 27 year-old has posted nine goals, four assists and 140 penalty minutes in 52 games with the Eagles this season. Sdao notched one goal in two games with the Wild.
“Mike has been a very steady, stay-at-home defenseman all season long and his return will give us a nice boost back along the blue line,” said Eagles president and general manager Chris Stewart.
The 6-foot-4, 225-pound native of Niwot, Colorado spent the previous three seasons in the AHL with the Binghamton Senators and Rochester Americans, generating 22 points and 336 penalty minutes, while playing at a cumulative +11 in 135 games.
The Eagles return to action when they take on the Utah Grizzlies on Monday, March 20th at 7:10pm MT at the Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah.
