WINDSOR, CO. – The Colorado Eagles, proud affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, have announced that goaltender Clarke Saunders has been loaned to the San Jose Barracuda of the AHL. Saunders has posted a record of 28-7-1-1 this season with the Colorado, including three shutouts. The 27 year-old’s 2.60 goals-against average ranks 5th in the ECHL, while his 28 wins are tied for 3rd in the league. He was also named the Warrior Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Month for the month of February.

“My heart goes out to Clarke, as I know he would prefer to stay here in Colorado, but he realizes this may be a chance that he just can’t pass up,” said Eagles president and general manager Chris Stewart. “We wish him all the best and would love to see him back here in the next couple of weeks. If that doesn’t happen, then we will be happy for that young man. He deserves the opportunity and the paycheck that goes with it.”

The Eagles travel to take on the Idaho Steelheads on Wednesday, March 29th at 7:05pm MT at CenturyLink Arena in Boise, Idaho.

Tickets for the 2017 Kelly Cup Playoffs will go on sale on Wednesday, March 29th at 10am by calling the Eagles ticket office at 970-686-SHOT (7468) or purchase online at www.ColoradoEagles.com.
