Colorado Acquires Garcia from Wheeling Nailers

WINDSOR, CO. – The Colorado Eagles, proud affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, have announced that they have acquired defenseman C.J. Garcia from the Wheeling Nailers, completing the future considerations portion of a trade that sent forward Mitch Holmberg to Wheeling last March.

Garcia appeared in three games with the Nailers late last season as an amateur after wrapping up a five-year career in the OHL with the Saginaw Spirit, Guelph Storm and Barrie Colts. The 6-foot, 195-pound blueliner notched 16 goals, 61 assists and 202 penalty minutes in 268 total contests.
